Smart Reuse
Give every cup
an identity.
Cupable offers three ways to identify reusable cups: a visible individual QR code, a discreet UV-responsive QR code, or RFID in the cup base. The right option depends on how your reuse programme scans and manages cups.

Option 01 · Visible
Individual
QR codes.
Each cup carries its own visible printed QR code. A scan can identify that cup; paired with a reuse platform, the code supports returns and tracking across repeated use.
This is the straightforward choice when the code should be easy for staff or guests to find and scan.
Option 02 · Discreet
Invisible
QR codes.
UV-responsive codes stay discreet under normal lighting and become detectable under UV. This leaves the cup artwork visually clear while keeping an identification method available to the scanning process.
Eight codes positioned around the rim improve access from different orientations, including when cups are stacked.

Option 03 · Integrated
RFID-enabled
cups.
RFID tags are moulded into the reusable cup base and digitally paired with printed QR codes. Protected within the cup, they support identification, returns and reuse-cycle management through repeated washing and use.
The scanning equipment and platform are part of the programme design; we can discuss how the cup identification should fit your operation.
Choosing an option
Start with the way
you scan.
Think about who will scan the cup, where it happens, and whether the code should be visible to guests. The identification method works best when it matches the return flow.
Visible QR
A printed code that can be found and scanned directly.
Invisible QR
Discreet marking for a UV-assisted scanning setup.
RFID + QR
Identification integrated into the cup base and paired with a printed code.
